Hi! I’m P V Subramanyam, and this blog has a million visitors. Why do people come to read my blog? Because I say that I make smart people richer. And I really do. But why do they keep coming back? My guess is they like what they read and take back something valuable each time. My ideas are simple. To get rich, you do not need too many ideas. You need to earn well, and keep track.
And me; who am I and what do I do? I am a Chartered Accountant with two gifts. I understand numbers and I love to tell stories. For the first 17 years of my career I spent time number crunching, first as an auditor, then as an equity broker, mutual fund advisor, corporate finance advisor…you get the gist. Then I realized that numbers meant more when told with a story. So I started telling stories and spreading knowledge with these stories. That kick-started my second career as a trainer, educator and author and I’ve been at it for 19 years now.
Some of my clients that I train:
Banks: Standard Chartered, HDFC, ICICI, Kotak Mutual funds: Reliance, Birla, SBI Insurance companies: HDFC, ICICI, Birla Brokerage Houses: Kotak, India Infoline, HDFC Pharma Companies: A few names at the top… |
As a professional trainer, I train a lot of people – corporate employees, promoters, non-finance managers, fund managers, entrepreneurs, life insurance agents, journalists, PR agencies and anyone who wants to learn. My style is simple – I tell stories of real people and real experiences and that breaks down complicated topics into easy to understand lessons.
– Books I’ve written:
o Retire Rich, invest Rs 40 a day – sold over 200,000 copies o Wealth Prescription for Doctors – Workshops I’ve conducted: o Multiple workshops addressing over 5,500 doctors across India o Trained over 20,000 finance professionals across India – Media appearances: o Columns for Money Today, Economic Times, Financial Express, Moneycontrol.com, Rediff.com o Television appearances on CNBC TV-18, ET Now, Bloomberg, CNBC Awaaz, Zee Business
|
As an author and educator, I write books, conduct workshops, write columns in leading newspapers and appear as an expert speaker on business channels.
What about this blog? Why do I write it for free? Because all stories don’t have a price tag. Your grandmother didn’t charge you to teach you the Mahabharata, nor did her grandmother. My blog tells stories that have life lessons; you can take away as much or as little as you want. And I hope it is the former!
To make money you do not need too many ideas. You need to earn well, and keep track. Keeping track is accounting and finance.
You need simple ideas and discipline. I have been going around the country meeting and talking to doctors about how to make their money work harder, and how to avoid big financial mistakes .
