Does one put the life savings into good funds like Mirae or ICICI pru, after seeing Franklin/YesBank saga? May be people do take small positions. Also, It is a game and test of patience; 2020 may be temporary, but one invested lumpsum in 5 years back, has fallen from 1.33 ->1. Not racing but just comparing – FD-man is still ahead by 33% for now. (1.06^5), in next 3 yrs, he will be at (1.06^8)=1.60. For equity to be at par from present position 1 to -> 1.6, my IRR should be at 16.5% (1.60^(1/3)) from now for next 3yrs.
