There is nothing original in this blog except my writing!

Well even the name was suggested by a friend who said keep it simple. It is Subra talking about Money, so call it “Subramoney”. I said Done.

Then I started getting advice on SEO, placing, doing PR, increasing hits….I attended 2 sessions on all this stuff. Then I asked myself…

a) am I doing this to “increase” my business?

b) do the number of hits or followers really matter – beyond pandering to my ever growing EGO?

c) Do I have a GOAL for writing this blog?

d) What are my Vision, Mission, etc. in creating this blog?

Well I had no answer to any of the questions. So I decided not to spend any great effort in how it looks, does it contain enough ‘attractive’ stuff, does it have a “buy” button…the answer is “well it does not matter”.

I did not even bother to think hard about –

a) am I hurting anybody?

b) will mutual funds advertise?

c) what will be demographics of the visitors or readers?

d) will I become an “influencer”?

e) how much will I earn from this blog?

Well, again I had no answer. Even worse, I was not looking for an answer…It really did not matter to me.

I just wrote. Almost everyday. Long posts, short posts, good posts, great posts, shitty posts -tons of content. That is all I did..

So I can resonate with what Morgan Housel says…my feelings…completely..
