FRM as a career?
Financial Risk Manager (FRM) refers to a professional designation issued by the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP). The FRM exam consists of two parts, Part I and Part II. The FRM Exam covers the application of risk management tools and techniques to the investment management process.

It is suitable for individuals who want specialized knowledge in assessing risk on behalf of banks, insurance companies, accounting firms, regulatory agencies and asset management firms.

Eligibility:
There are no minimum eligibility requirements for appearing the FRM exam. However, to be certified as a Financial Risk Manager, the following are required:
- A passing score on the FRM Examination
- Active Fellow membership in the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP)
- A minimum of two years’ experience in financial risk management or another related field including, but not limited to, trading, portfolio management, academic or industry research, economics, auditing, risk consulting, and/or risk technology.
