Want feedback about this blog…
Hi
for the first time in 8 years..seeking a feedback on the blog…
what you like, what you do not like (frankly I will not change, but just curiosity), which have been your fav blogs.
there is a reason for all this…need to incorporate in a new book….
thanks….prefer feedback on the blog….or it can be on FB…
EVEN better ..if you can say which is your favorite post…and why…that would be nice

Hi Subra,
I am reading this blog around last 8 years. I used to start my day by reading your blog. Though somethings you are repeating as Surya said in above comment it is not a big deal. You should keep blogging.
I used to read around 10 blogs in finance. When compared to other blogs this is different. I couldn’t explain how it is different. I started reading this blog after I read your book Retire Rich.
I don’t like the blog design. It is not easy to read this blog in smartphone. You tried to change the design for some posts which is good. But you are not doing it regularly.
I am the first person in my family to invest in equity related products. But still doing good. My portfolio IRR is 3-4% more than s&p 500 index. I invest less in direct equities more in mutual funds. Planning to increase my direct equity percentage in near future.

Subra,
I love your blog. I have been reading it regularly for the last 7 years. I am a working woman and I make it a point to read it everyday. You have really fueled my interest in personal finance. Some of my favorite things in your blog are:
1. All articles related to Retirement planning.
2. Articles related to human psychology – being a Tam Brahm, I appreciate the native lingo and the home-grown wisdom. It is like talking to a smart and wise elder brother in the family.
3. Thanks to the blog, I have a fairly decent equity portfolio mainly with mutual funds and some direct equity.
I really have nothing to suggest on the improvements. I like it the way it is. Keep it as it is and do not change it.

Dear Subra Sir,
I am an avid reader of your blog for last one year. It gave me insightful knowledge about life and money follows after it. To be fair I think your blog make me a confident DIY investor with decent amount bulging im MFs, Equities and PPF. All your practical scenarios fascinates as well as enlighten the human behaviour about money. Thanks a lot for your daily vitamin supplements.

Dear Subra Sir,
I’m a regular reader of your blog since 2009/10 and thank you for sharing such valuable knowledge without which at least few of us might not have become financially literate (in real terms). Like Newspaper it has become a habit for me to check subramoney.com first thing in the morning. I find most of the posts interesting because it looks the same subject from a different perspective. Few of my recent very very interesting posts are; 1. Greatest Gift to your Daughter, 2. Finance is not Complex, 3. Happy Times for Investing, 4. Selling to your insecurities and so on.
More than anything I like the simple language, concise but precise way of communication and striped down look and feel of the site. Only point I find difficult is searching old articles which I would like to re-read.
Always wish if I could meet you. Whether it will materialise or not will always remember you for the financial comfort that I’m enjoying right now from the invaluable tips from you and wish you all the best.
Thanks Once Again…
Prashanth
1. Like the articles that are like a case study – talks about a personal situation and the story leading up to it and the suggestions if any
2. Like the article that provides ideas/concept on investing, retirement planning, saving, etc.

I have no clue what i will do if you do not come to my blog to read it, but happy to give it a try. Try staying away please..I guess you have finished your learning with me. I do not have anything new for you to learn.

I cannot say which blog I liked the most, but the ones I like more are on Interpersonal relationships, on myths and also on needs for different type of people.

I have been a regular reader of your blog for almost 7 years. So much that subramoney.com is the first site that I visit almost everyday, see the title if I like it I read completely otherwise just a superficial glance. I like your blogs on retirement, old age related problems, financial behavior of spouses, education, views on LIC, BFSI , advice to doctors and the side stories that make narration interesting. In fact instead of giving any advice, I suggested your blog to my nephews and niece, who are at the beginning of their career.
Thank you very much for all the knowledge that was shared. Your views make us think differently.
One possible reason why I read your blog everyday is that there is no TV at our home, cut off from so much of non-sense and I look for clues in your articles for searching additional material.

I have been regular reader since 2008 and I don’t think you need to change anything. You have given a learning from all side of human life and need to salute your efforts in providing knowledge in all aspects.
Keep continuing and God Bless You & Family!

This is the first thing i read every morning. Has made me a better DIY investor and has kept me away from the pitfalls of investing. This has made me realise , who has my best interest at heart. Surely it is not the RM and the broker.
I owe this all to you.
You are my guide in life.
Knowingly, Unknowingly you have brought joy in many houses.

What I like the most is the constant hammering of simple basic pointers, eventually it would get drilled down into us or at least me.

My favorite posts were two kinds – one where you look back to your mistakes and good decisions and ruminate over them. I think I personally learned a lot from them. Second, your continued reinforcement on the myth busting of ‘market experts.’ I found them very reassuring and now have more confidence to disagree and back my disagreement.

Dear Subra Sir,
I like your “more equity” ,”simple life”, “rich rules” posts and try to practice same also expecting quantitative and qualitative elements of an investment(true stories). I don’t know how I call you; u are my “true investment pitamaha tks:).

I have been reading this blog for almost 3 years now, it has become a sort of morning ritual to open subramoney.com, has been a great influence for my investment, in fact I thank Subra sir, for guiding me into the world of personal finance. I enjoy reading all of them. Now I have all the conviction to say no to the insurance agent ( even relatives)… Subramoney.com has taught me the most imp word “NO”.
