Simplify your lifestyle
Either I am beginning to attract what I like, or the world is also seeking a simpler lifestyle. Not sure which is true does not matter….but yes many people are trying to live a simpler life.
One of the important things that the ‘economy’ wants you to do is spend. So time pass for most of the kids I know HAS TO BE THE FOLLOWING:
Lets go to the Mall
Lets do CCD or Barista NOW!
Lets go to a Movie
Frankly most of them can do only these things for ‘time pass’. So ask them to read a book, go for a walk, or …..they cannot. Why?
simply because they are screen slaves. They cannot stay away from their kindle, laptop, ipad, ipod, cell phone,….for more than 5 minutes. If this is not slavery, what is?
However I have some hope yet. Here is a link to an article by an American…and it is as much applicable to North America as to us

A few days ago I had done an article which said get one term plan, one index fund, one credit card, one sb account, …and then say ONE word that will make you rich…not sure how many of you read it

It is not as though there are no simple people living in the world..here I did write about one such person I know
http://www.subramoney.com/2011/11/a-simple-man/
or why even investing can also be simple steps

lets simplify!

I’ve been trying to simplify life for the last few months. After I deleted my facebook, twitter and other ‘unsocial’ networking accounts a couple of months ago and cut the tv viewing hours, suddenly there was lot more time for myself. There was less need of showing off. I got more time for spending with my family, reading, poetry writing etc. I think everybody should simplify their life to ‘Be free and Be happy’.

true..I am currently on a no cell phone streak..and I don’t think I’m missing any important thing. Its not like the President is on the line to request me to save the world. There is nothing so important that can’t wait a couple of hours(atleast for a single guy with no obligations). The Pareto rule applies here.80% of our time is spent on the least useful activities.Cut them out and there lies your path to success.

I was very pleased to find a link to the wonderful blog Raptitude.com in your article. You state that the author, David Cain, is an American. I must correct you on this. He is a Canadian, living in Winnipeg. I know this because he is my son.
I look forward to reading more of your articles.
